Chaotic yet structured. That's probably how I would describe this. When I first saw it felt energetic and vibrant.
You controlled the lighting well and the background makes a good contrast to the characters (well, most of them). I love your art style. The simpler cartoon style with the more subtle colours and style of the background works well. The atmosphere and the design of the trees is amazing.
Context would be nice but I think leaving it up for interpretation was a good move. Anyway I think I'm looking too much into this.

Uh. I don't know how to explain it. I merely scribbled in various shades of gray, then adjusted the colors afterward. Now that I think about it, probably should've grabbed some references of actual forests.
Hmm not really. I merely block in hues then slap shadows/tints on top of it. One thing I've found is that if you draw in grayscale first, then add colors, you don't have to worry about your colors looking like crap. That way, you make sure the blending/objects look nice first. If that makes any sense?
